Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally free to marry to use TrivianKnot. By creating an account, you confirm that this is true and that all information you provide is accurate and about you personally — not on behalf of someone else without their knowledge and consent.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details (phone access, and any username/password you set) secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Identity verification

Your profile will not be shown to other members until you complete identity verification (a government ID plus a live selfie), reviewed by a member of our team. Submitting a fraudulent, altered, or someone-else's ID is grounds for immediate and permanent account termination.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Free browsing and verification are always free. Plus and Premium are paid subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings; cancellation stops future renewals but does not itself retroactively refund the current billing period — see our Refund Policy for details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person, or create a profile for someone without their consent.
• Use TrivianKnot for commercial solicitation, spam, or any purpose other than seeking a marriage partner.
• Harass, threaten, or send unwelcome sexual content to another member.
• Request or send money, gifts, or financial details from/to another member.
• Attempt to circumvent verification, rate limits, or moderation systems.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute other members' photos or profile information.

Violating these rules may result in a warning, suspension, or permanent termination of your account, at our discretion, without refund of any remaining subscription period.

6. Content you provide

You retain ownership of the photos and text you upload. By uploading them, you grant TrivianKnot a limited licence to store, watermark, and display them to other members as intended by the app's features (e.g. after mutual interest). You confirm you have the right to upload each photo you provide.

7. No guarantee of outcome

TrivianKnot verifies identity and provides tools to help you find a compatible partner — it does not guarantee that you will find one, that any AI-generated compatibility score is a predictor of relationship success, or that every verified member's intentions are honest. Exercise your own judgment, especially before meeting in person or sharing further personal details — see our Safety Center.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, on legal request, or to protect the safety of our community. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. All profiles are also automatically deleted six months after account creation regardless of activity — see our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

TrivianKnot is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including your interactions with other members.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by the law of your country of residence.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app before they take effect.
